About This Project

In May we welcomed in Seville a group of 4 students from Postojna. They came to Spain to develop their skills as business administration and computer operators. Here they gained experience in the area of their professional sectors.

Talking about the business administration sector, their responsibilities included creating and modifying documents using Microsoft Office, performing general office duties, using a photocopier, printer and scanner, preparing, scanning and placing documents in electronic and paper filing systems, maintaining and managing inventory control of materials and suppliers, processing sales invoices, receipts, and payments, analyzing prices and purchasing office supplies, providing appropriate organization of invoices, maintaining and updating records management database systems.

Referring to the other sector, the students´ responsibilities were using counters and applying the knowledge of metrology, interpreting plans and technical pictures, operating and monitoring machines for cutting, drilling and grinding the metal, checking the results of operations and if it is not satisfactory, call the adjuster, preparing elements for turning, cleaning, lubricating and carrying out maintenance of the machine replacement of turning tools, operating CNC machines, pneumatic machines, analyzing information derived from technical documentation and taking care of the order at the place of work.

They also attended an intensive Spanish language course, which allowed them to learn some Spanish and helped to integrate better with their placements. Here in Seville, they enjoyed city tour to get deeper insight into the Andalusian culture. Moreover they had a chance to visit historical city Cadiz where Christopher Colombus started the expedition aimed at discovering new lands. At the end of the trip, after seeing Cathedral and other impressive sights of the city, the students could enjoy the rest of the day at the charming Caleta Beach surrounded by two castles. We hope they enjoyed their stay with euroMind!
