About This Project

At the start of summer these 8 Czech students made their way to Seville as part of a three-week training program at several local host companies. During their stay the students were given the opportunity to put their previously-acquired skills and knowledge into practice while also improving their professional and linguistic skills in the progress. Their main tasks included the following:

 

  • Programming with WordPress and Javascript
  • Using layout programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Implementing and facilitating the use of IT packages for general purpose and specific applications
  • Implementing and managing local networks and managing the connection of computer system  to extensive networks
  • Dismantling, reassembly and replacing of simple electrical, electronic and mechanical components
  • Reading electrical diagrams, electronic, pneumatic/ hydraulic (electro pneumatic/ electro)
  • Using shop’s equipment such as a photocopier, printer and scanner
  • Assisting the Company Manager with the maintenance of the database (putting in data, making queries and running reports)

 

After hours the students still had plenty of time to explore the beautiful city of Seville and its many attractions: they went on a guided tour of the bullring la Maestranza and the football stadium of Seville while also undertaking a cultural trip to Malaga.

Veronika Filipí:

‘Seville is a very nice place with beautiful monuments. I’m very happy with the experience in Spain, I had a great time during my practice period. My tutors were very friendly and I’ve learnt a lot of new things. The experience in the host family was great as well, I had the opportunity to taste a lot of traditional Spanish dishes.’

Patrik Rybár:

‘I had my internship in a typical Andalusian school with more than 120 teachers. The working environment is very friendly. I’ve carried out different tasks: management of the network system, repairing of IT equipment etc. The experience in the host family was very funny, I met very kind people. The weather is very hot, beside that I’m very enthusiastic about the entire experience.’
