About This Project

During the first weeks of April 2019 euroMind greeted in Seville a group of motivated students from Greece. They came to develop their skills as physiotherapists, nurses, receptionists and tour guides. And because Sevilla is a great place for professional and cultural improvement – they came just to the perfect place! Besides the work they overcame language barrier and learned about Andalusian culture.

The group working in a nursing field had a chance to gain experience in their host organizations helping in all aspects of taking care of elderly people, including nutrition and physical activity, as well as providing treatment and medicines to the residents of the centers under the supervision of experienced doctors. Moreover, they learned how to correctly apply bandages to wounds and how to give injections. They gained crucial skills for their future jobs and performed a great job.

The group of tour guides was dedicated to cultural work, discovering the importance of country heritage. Sevilla and its diversified culture is represented by a variety of monuments, music and incalculable traditions. Therefore the students had a chance to enrich their knowledge and learn how to search for new interesting stories about the city and how to organize cultural activities. This work was demanding and fun at the same time, and all of the participants went satisfied.

The physiotherapists did their internships in several host organizations where they were supporting people unable to move independently, providing massages and physiotherapy treatments, reassuring patients during physiotherapy treatment and more. Thanks to the great attitude, curiosity and experienced supervisors they got much of an important knowledge.

Group of trainees working in different hotels of Seville got the chance to improve their competence by assisting in welcoming the guest to the place, arranging reservations, making check-ins and check-outs and completing administrative procedures as well as providing tourist information about the city and the region. They also improved their skills of interpretation and translation, as their work was closely related to people speaking many different languages.

All of the trainees took an advantage of studying hard in their profession but also of being in the great cultural capital which is Seville. This experience was not only working but also developing their self confidence and overcoming personal barriers. They were provided with an intense but truly enjoyable language course and some cultural activities like river course, visits to the most important monuments of Seville like Plaza España or Parasol Metropol. During their stay they also went to the beautiful Granada and had the chance to try the best tapas in Spain.
