About This Project

In November 2017, 15 trainees from České Budějovice (Czech Republic) spent their time in Seville to do a formative work-experience as Administrative and Logistic operators. During their internship, they developed their professional abilities in the fields and carried out several tasks, such as:

  • Providing customer service in a professional, courteous and friendly manner and receiving and greeting clients at the reception
  • Maintaining and managing inventory control of materials and suppliers
  • Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
  • Undertaking general administration including word processing, dealing with enquiry’s and routine correspondence, photocopying, scanning, filing, faxing, mailing, etc. as well as using types of equipment such as a photocopier, printer and scanner
  • Assisting the Company Manager with the maintenance of the database (putting in data, making queries and running reports)
  • Opening  cases of merchandise, handling carts, boxes and high weights and sort all products

Furthermore, they learned about Seville and its historical, cultural and gastronomical features during a Seville Tour and a Tapas Night. They also had a great time during a trip to the beautiful city of Cadiz.

We hope that our trainees had fun and that they learned many things that will be useful for their future work and private life.

‘Hello my name is Monika and I had my internship in the company Euromind settled in Seville (Spain). In the company there was a very international atmosphere, all the workmates spoke English and Polish as well. I have performed different tasks, we used different programmes as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This project gave me the possibility to be more self-confident and now I’m able to work very fast and to perform the assigned tasks in a professional way’

‘My name is Michaela Valentova and I worked in Seville. About the work they gave us here it was very interesting and I enjoyed doing it because the work we did will be posted on the school’s website, so it will be somewhere so we did it for something. And what exactly did we do? We wrote articles about leaders from our history. About the people we work with they were the best team we could wish for. Thank you Erasmus+ for this opportunity and I hope I will go through this project in my future again’

Katerina Veisová:

‘Hello, my name is Kate, and I work in a small bookstore with office stationery. I was a little bit frightened because nobody speaks English there. I was not sure about communication, and their computer programme is in Spanish. But it is OK, google translation helped us. The subject of my work is receiving magazines, put them to programme and next put them on the shelves. I check new books with the invoice and write it on the computer. I love books, so I like this practice. Despite being a small shop, it lives there all day and there was always something to do’
