About This Project

In April 2019, Euromind hosted a group of 4 Belgian students from Bruxelles, who came in Malaga to do their internship in the field of cooking. They spend three weeks working in local companies, doing different tasks depending on the company and developing their professional abilities.

They learned, among other things,  to prepare the ingredients for consumption or cooking, toashing, peeling, cutting fruit and vegetables as well as cutting meat, to check the quality of food, tasting, smelling, punching with utensils, etc., to weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and personal judgment with the use of available kitchen appliances and equipment, to learning about typical Spanish cuisine and local specialties, to serve meals to clients and even to wash and dry kitchen pots/ utensils as well as to ensure their proper storage

During their stay, the trainees participated in a Spanish course. They practiced basic expressions, they learned the vocabulary from their sector. That helped them to communicate better at work.

They also had the change to get involved into Spanish culture thanks to activities such as Professional Flamenco Show, visiting Andalusian cities like Seville, Ronda, Granada, in addition to discovering Malaga, and having fun with water activities such as Banana Boat and Bike Tour.

We trust that what they learned during their stay and the experience they gained will be useful for their future!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

My stay here in Malaga was very interesting. The city and very beautiful the world here and beautiful the intermediate organization Euromind team. People who I work with are nice and very well organized. The hotel where we stayed is clean and the managers are very friendly. What I liked about this city is that you know how to organize well. The activities are very good, too.

Malaga is a beautiful place. At the practices, I learned to be more precise when it comes to slicing. The thing I will most remember when we went upstairs by bikes and had beautiful views. It was hard but worth it. I am glad that I came here because I discovered a new place, new flavours, traditions, for example a flamenco show. I recommend to everyone this kind of experience. I also want to thank the whole euromind team, for a nice welcome, for Spanish lessons and for all activities. Thank you very much!
