About This Project

For a period of two weeks at the end of November 2015, 16 Polish trainees went on an internship in Seville. The trainees worked at a local vocational school, learning all about ports and terminals.

 

The trainees carried out the following tasks:

 

  • Getting the knowledge about general port services, type of port terminals and freight terminals.
  • Getting to know entry operations at the port and berthing of ships.
  • Getting to know the general principles of planning, handling capacity of ports and their competitiveness.
  • Using Microsoft Dynamic NAVISION.
  • Using Baplie Viewer.

 

Apart from that, the trainees also took part in Spanish classes, went on a trip to Cordoba and had plenty of time to discover Seville.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Klaudia Kuc:

‘I visited Spain for the second time because this country fascinates me. Andalusia is awesome! I love to take part in abroad projects! This one gave me a helpful experience and knowledge. I developed the language skills. I know that in the future I want to work in my profession.’

Hubert Śpiołek:

‘I dreamed about travelling abroad. This project make my dream come true. I’m going to be a logistician. I want to know how to service ports and terminals. I saw a lot of monuments in Spain. In the future I want to come back here.’
